A French woman has been detained on suspicion of manipulating the price of Verasity tokens and had previously purchased real estate worth over 50 million euros in Dubai

According to the French newspaper Le Monde, a 45-year-old woman born in Russia and naturalized in France in 2017, Svetlana A., has recently been placed under investigation and detained by a Paris investigating judge on charges of organized fraud, serious money laundering, and participation in a criminal gang. The French National Financial Prosecutor's Office stated that she and her British partner Robert H. are suspected of committing organized fraud by manipulating cryptocurrency prices, with the related funds suspected to be used for purchasing properties in Dubai.Reports indicate that Svetlana A. invested over 50 million euros in 2022 alone, acquiring about 100 apartments and 3 luxury villas in Dubai, with total rental income from 2022 to 2025 expected to be at least 4 million euros; she also purchased an entire building containing 73 apartments for 68 million dirhams (approximately 17.4 million euros). The cryptocurrency mentioned in the report is Verasity (VRA), launched by her partner in 2018. The price of VRA surged 65 times over a two-and-a-half-month period in the spring of 2021, followed by a significant decline, currently down approximately 99.98% from its historical peak. The lawyer for the parties involved stated that the sources of the related wealth are documented and legal, and they deny any wrongdoing. The case is still under investigation.

Cosmos Hub: 1.227 million ATOM has been recovered from the Neutron attack case, with funds temporarily stored at a 4/6 multi-signature address

Cosmos Labs disclosed that on September 22, Neutron encountered a governance attack that led to the theft of liquidity from protocols such as Astroport, with approximately 1.73 million ATOM subsequently transferred by the attacker to Cosmos Hub. The Cosmos Hub itself was not attacked, and user funds were not affected. To prevent the stolen ATOM from being transferred out, Hub validators temporarily paused the network for about 24.5 hours and resumed block production on September 23 based on the patched Gaia v28.3.0.Cosmos Labs stated that during the pause, 1.227 million ATOM remained in the attacker's Hub address. When the network was restored, these were transferred to a 4/6 multi-signature address composed of Nansen, Keplr, Enigma, Silknodes, Kiln, and Polkachu through a one-time change. Previously, about 500,000 ATOM had been exchanged for ETH via THORChain and could not be recovered; another 169,000 ATOM entered the attacker's address after the network was restored due to THORChain refunds and were sold after being transferred to Osmosis. The current multi-signature address holds approximately 1.227 million ATOM, which can only be returned after authorization from a Cosmos Hub governance proposal. The related funds will not be staked, lent, or traded. The Neutron team expects to submit a recovery plan and related governance proposals next week.

The list of the first batch of award winners for the Sun Yuchen Prize is now under public notice for 14 days, and the on-chain prize pool address has been credited with 10 million USD

According to official news from the Sun Yuchen Prize, the first batch of award winners has officially entered a 14-day public notice period starting September 19. The topics currently under public notice are questions number 305, 371, 381, 526, 866, and 1001, among which candidates for questions 305, 371, and 381 are formal verifiers, candidates for questions 866 and 1001 are mathematical problem solvers, and question 526 has candidates from both roles. The public notice information has been made available on the official GitHub candidate registration form, and the public can submit formal challenges. It is reported that the Sun Yuchen Prize is the world's first zero-trust decentralized academic reward mechanism based on a list of questions, with a maximum single-question prize of 1 million US dollars. On the day of its establishment, the first batch of 66 mathematical problems was announced, with the highest prize of 1 million US dollars awarded to the OpenAI research team in recognition of their solution and formal proof regarding the "existence and smoothness problem of the three-dimensional Navier-Stokes equations." At the same time, the prize operating organization also announced the on-chain address of the prize pool, which has already deposited 10 million US dollars. After the public notice period ends, the prize will be distributed in USDT (TRC20) or USDC (ERC20), and the winners will also receive certificates and medals.
