first_img The first batch of RTX Spark models from ASUS and MSI has been fully booked

The RTX Spark series PCs developed by NVIDIA in collaboration with MediaTek are expected to launch this fall. Microsoft and more game developers have recently announced updates and support for this platform. The first batch of orders from ASUS and MSI has been fully booked, and they are actively seeking more allocations from NVIDIA. ASUS co-CEO Hu Shubin pointed out that channel customer bookings have exceeded expectations, with the initial supply completely reserved, and they are actively placing additional supply orders with NVIDIA, holding a highly optimistic outlook for next year's sales. MSI's product manager Peng Renfang revealed that customers from mainland China, Taiwan, and the United States are actively placing orders, with the first batch of laptops equipped with the high-end N1X chip nearly sold out, and they are actively following up with NVIDIA for more orders. The RTX Spark super chip is built using TSMC's 3-nanometer process, featuring NVIDIA's Blackwell RTX GPU connected to a 20-core Grace CPU, utilizing a Windows on Arm architecture. NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang noted that RTX Spark brings together CUDA, RTX, and AI platforms into a single super chip, allowing ground agents, front-end models, creative workflows, and RTX games to run on laptops, "This is the new PC, personal AI computer." The processors are divided into the high-end N1x and the mainstream N1, with the actual selling price of PCs equipped with N1x yet to be announced, but the market generally believes it will start from 110,000 yuan. The first wave of partner brands includes ASUS, MSI, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft, Acer, and Gigabyte will also follow suit. NVIDIA recently announced at Gamescom 2026 in Germany that multiple game developers are bringing various games to join the RTX Spark lineup.

Next week's macro outlook: Non-farm payrolls set the path for September, the Federal Reserve's Beige Book reveals the inflation bottom line

According to Jinshi reports, the main theme of this week's market is dominated by changes in expectations regarding Federal Reserve policy. After Federal Reserve Chairman Waller's speech on Friday, the dollar quickly surged, closing at 99.69, up 0.85% for the week. Against the backdrop of rising U.S. Treasury yields and a stronger dollar, gold faced overall pressure, falling 3.24% for the week; spot silver dropped 3.82% this week. Here are the key points the market will focus on in the new week (all in Beijing time): Monday is pending, the G20 finance ministers and central bank governors meeting will be held until September 1; Tuesday at 17:00, Eurozone August CPI data; Eurozone July unemployment rate; Tuesday at 22:00, U.S. August ISM Manufacturing PMI, U.S. July JOLTs job openings, U.S. July construction spending month-on-month; Tuesday is pending, the 2026 SCO member states heads of state council meeting will be held; Wednesday at 20:15, U.S. August ADP employment change; Wednesday at 22:00, U.S. July factory orders month-on-month; Thursday at 02:00, the Federal Reserve will release the Beige Book on economic conditions; Thursday at 16:00, Eurozone August Services PMI final value; Thursday at 17:00, Eurozone July PPI month-on-month; Thursday at 20:30, U.S. initial jobless claims for the week ending August 29, Federal Reserve Governor Waller will be interviewed; Friday at 03:00, 2026 FOMC voting member Harker will deliver an opening speech at the "Federal Reserve Community" event; Friday at 20:30, U.S. August unemployment rate, U.S. August seasonally adjusted non-farm payrolls, U.S. August average hourly earnings year-on-year and month-on-month.The highlight of next week's data will be the U.S. August employment report on Friday. This report is the last employment data before the September 16 interest rate meeting and is a key window to assess the policy path after Waller's hawkish stance. Previously, Nvidia's strong performance and an expected revenue growth of about 70% for the next fiscal year have reignited enthusiasm for AI trading. Dell (DELL.O) will release its second-quarter earnings report after the market closes on Tuesday (September 1), with the market expecting an adjusted earnings per share of $4.91, more than doubling from the same period last year. Broadcom (AVGO.O) will release its third-quarter earnings report for fiscal year 2026 after the market closes on Wednesday (September 2).

Fu Peng discusses NVIDIA's financial report: The market's reaction to the financial data is lukewarm, attention should be paid to the duration of the boost from Jensen Huang's speech

Chief Economist Fu Peng of New Fire Group published an article pointing out that although Nvidia's latest financial report has exceeded expectations for 15 consecutive quarters, the market has reacted lukewarmly to the financial data itself. Indicators such as stock price and options volatility show that market investors are currently more concerned about whether the free cash flow of the future index center can be smoothly delivered, and how long the momentum of AI growth can be maintained. These issues weigh more heavily than the performance of a single quarter's financial report, so even if this performance exceeds Wall Street's expectations by a few points, it does not change the denominator of the valuation.Fu Peng believes that Jensen Huang's statement during the conference call clearly indicated that "the inflection point for AI has arrived," which is essentially to reassure the market, aiming to strengthen market confidence in the formation of a closed-loop AI industry chain and alleviate concerns about over-investment. Investors should observe how long it takes for the market to digest this round of confidence boost, and how long the elevated expectations brought by Jensen Huang will last before fading. If the sentiment fades quickly, it indicates that the current typical market mentality is "no rabbit, no hawk," and the impact of manufacturers repeatedly reinforcing confidence in the market is gradually weakening, which can be observed from the duration of market fluctuations after each conference call.

Zhao Changpeng: If Hyperliquid enters the United States or opens up market space for more decentralized products, it will be a significant boost for the entire cryptocurrency industry

At the 2026 Wyoming Blockchain Conference, Zhao Changpeng stated that Trump mentioned Hyperliquid and that Mike Selig, the chairman of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), will seek a path for the platform to enter the U.S. market.Zhao Changpeng believes that if this progress can be realized, it will be a significant boon for the entire cryptocurrency industry. Zhao stated that the outside world tends to view him as a supporter of centralized trading platforms due to his holdings in Binance, but the fundamental reason he entered the cryptocurrency industry is his belief in decentralization. He pointed out that some users choose Hyperliquid because the platform can be used through wallets without the need for traditional accounts and KYC processes; if Hyperliquid can operate in the U.S. in a compliant manner, it will open up space for perpetual contracts and more decentralized services to enter the U.S. market. He believes this is not only related to Hyperliquid itself. "Hyperliquid is just the tip of the iceberg; once this tip enters, other projects can follow suit." Related developments will benefit more decentralized products and their portfolio companies, and will also bring more liquidity to international centralized trading platforms, allowing U.S. users to obtain more competitive prices when buying and selling crypto assets.Zhao Changpeng stated that the current cryptocurrency market is far from saturated, so competition between platforms is not the main issue. Hyperliquid's entry into the U.S. will not only benefit itself but will also expand the market size of the entire industry, "what is beneficial for them will also be beneficial for us."

first_img Goldman Sachs: Nvidia's impressive earnings report may struggle to boost stock prices

According to the Financial Associated Press, Nvidia will announce its Q2 2027 financial report after the US stock market closes on August 26. Goldman Sachs expects strong performance with potential upward revisions in guidance, but notes that the stock price has already surged since August, with an increase of over 12% in the past two weeks, suggesting that the good news may have already been priced in, making it difficult for excellent performance to boost the stock price. Goldman Sachs' EPS forecasts for Nvidia in Q2 and Q3 are 6% and 12% higher than Wall Street's consensus expectations, respectively, with a target price of $285, which is still slightly below the market average.Goldman Sachs believes there is room for revaluation in the valuation, provided that the profitability of large-scale cloud vendors improves to support capital expenditures, Nvidia maintains caution on its customer financing platform to alleviate concerns about supplier circular financing, and continues to advance large-scale buybacks and dividends. Investors will focus on details of the customer financing platform in the earnings call, progress on the Vera Rubin platform, gross margins and raw material costs, CPU demand driven by AI agents, and the competitive landscape in the industry.Goldman Sachs points out that while GPU demand is strong, there is still a risk of a pullback, and the difficulty of "exceeding expectations and raising guidance" increases each quarter, raising doubts about whether cloud vendors can continue to ramp up capital expenditures. Earlier this month, Nvidia, in collaboration with Apollo, BlackRock, Blackstone, Goldman Sachs, KKR, and others, established a financing platform for AI computing infrastructure, aiming to leverage over $500 billion in third-party capital; concerns about circular financing are rising in the market, and the company needs to release more substantial new information, or else the stock price is more likely to decline rather than surge after the earnings report.

first_img HP, ASUS, and Acer reduce production capacity in Southeast Asia, with the focus of notebook production returning to China

According to DIGITIMES, the NB supply chain has reported that brand manufacturers are significantly returning to production in China, with "returning to China for production" becoming a new trend. Brands such as HP, ASUS, and Acer have recently noticeably reduced their originally planned capacity shifts to Southeast Asia, with production focus returning to Chongqing or Kunshan in China, and increasing orders to Chinese ODM or EMS manufacturers and the proportion of private label products. This involves production lines at Quanta, Inventec's Thailand factories, and Compal, Wistron’s Vietnam factories, which may be affected by customer transfers. Lenovo, Dell, and Apple, on the other hand, remain relatively unchanged. The supply chain indicates that after the U.S. equivalent tariffs were ruled unconstitutional by the Supreme Court, the impact of substitute tariffs is smaller, and the production costs for NB in Southeast Asia are on average $9 higher per unit than in China. The gross profit margin for brand manufacturers per unit of NB is mostly between 3% to 10%. Based on a low-priced model with an average price of about $300, the $9 difference is close to or even exceeds their profit, resulting in unprofitable shipments. Local Chinese governments are also demanding increased production due to reduced tax revenues, or they will reclaim past subsidies, creating a pull for returning production.Relevant ODM personnel stated that they will respect customer decisions, and if they cannot take on a single product, they will shift production locally to servers and other product lines such as networking. Lenovo is more cautious due to its diversified layout, with limited relocation; Dell has not significantly returned due to the high proportion of U.S. government orders; Apple targets the high-end market and promotes automation, with the main reason for relocating MacBook production from Shanghai being the pandemic-related supply chain disruptions, and its plans in Vietnam remain unchanged to date.
