Huobi HTX Chief Analyst Cloud: The Bitcoin pullback is a normal retracement, and the differentiation of altcoins may continue until this week's data is released

The 10-year U.S. Treasury yield returned to above 5.2% overnight, reaching a high not seen since 2007, putting pressure on global risk assets. Bitcoin has fallen back to around $83,000, with altcoins experiencing even larger declines. In this regard, Cloud, the chief analyst at Huobi HTX, believes that this drop is more akin to a normal pullback after a rebound and does not constitute the starting point of a trend reversal. The high U.S. Treasury yields mainly suppress valuations, with limited impact on the overall liquidity. The funding structure and holding costs of the crypto market itself have also not been disrupted. This round of decline seems more like a clearing of positions before key data is released. It is important to be cautious about the divergence between Bitcoin and altcoins. During a phase of marginal liquidity tightening, funds tend to concentrate on the most certain top assets; altcoins lack incremental funds to support them, and with heavier leverage, their pullbacks are therefore amplified. This divergence is likely to continue before the release of this week's PCE and non-farm data. If the data falls short of expectations, altcoins will have greater elasticity and thus higher risks; if the data exceeds expectations, Bitcoin's relative strength will be more pronounced. Whether Bitcoin can stabilize at key support levels will be the main signal to determine if this round of pullback has ended.Note: The content of this article does not constitute investment advice, nor does it constitute any offer, solicitation, or recommendation of investment products.

first_img Cross-chain trading platform Relay API exposes pending transactions, which will compensate approximately $312,000

Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of the cross-chain trading platform Relay, Jason Maier, stated that the team discovered an issue with the Relay API over the weekend, which exposed pending transaction information before trade execution. MEV seekers exploited the pending routing status to infer on-chain paths and front-run trades before order execution, resulting in worse execution prices for users trading through Relay. This activity occurred from September 12 to September 26, primarily concentrated from September 23 to 26. Seekers profited approximately $136,000 from this, affecting around 5,600 users, with a median impact of $11.88. Relay will pay a $50,000 bounty to Outputlayer for reporting the issue and will automatically compensate affected users without the need for applications; funds will be directly sent to wallets, with a total compensation amount of approximately $312,000.Jason Maier stated that MEV can arise through public mempool exposure, order detail inference, malicious participation in auctions, or data gaps between service providers, and protecting a single link in the transaction path is not sufficient. He mentioned that the team will continue to enhance the execution quality and privacy of the entire transaction path and called on security researchers to report vulnerabilities when discovered.

first_img TSMC plans to build a second campus in Texas, with an estimated investment exceeding Arizona

According to the Economic Daily, citing sources from the semiconductor equipment industry, TSMC plans to expand its manufacturing presence in the United States. Following Arizona, it is set to initiate plans for a second park in the U.S., with a high likelihood of establishing six advanced wafer fabs in Dallas, Texas. Reports indicate that if the second park is launched, the total investment is expected to exceed the $265 billion in Arizona, linking Arizona's wafer manufacturing with Texas's advanced ecosystem. As of September 28, the reporter has not received a response from TSMC; supply chain operators stated that the owner has not yet notified preparations, and the board has not yet made a decision. The total investment in TSMC's wafer fab in Phoenix, Arizona, has now increased to $265 billion, with plans including six wafer fabs, two advanced packaging plants, and a research and development center. Reports suggest that TSMC's considerations for increasing its overseas presence include proximity to customers, diversification of geopolitical risks, and overcoming resource limitations such as land, water, and electricity in Taiwan. U.S. customers accounted for approximately 75.64% of TSMC's revenue in the first half of 2026.There are widespread rumors in the industry that TSMC is responding to demands from customers like NVIDIA, Intel, AMD, and Apple for local production in the U.S., while facing pressure from the U.S. government, which has threatened that chip manufacturers must relocate back to the U.S. or face tariffs of up to 200%. Dallas and North Texas are known as the "Silicon Prairie," with local factories established by Texas Instruments, Coherent, Samsung, and Tesla. Reports indicate that the Arizona facility still faces challenges such as water shortages, power shortages, and labor shortages, while Texas offers talent, lower tax burdens, and stable electricity, leading supply chain operators to believe that site evaluations are nearing completion.
