first_img Attackers stole over $1 million in user funds from the new Solana bank Avici

Solana's new bank Avici is facing ongoing attacks, with attackers having stolen over $1 million from users. The attackers' wallet holds 10,005.03 SOL (approximately $1.07 million) and about $11,600 in USDC and USDT. The attack method involves first calling the SubmitSignatures of the Avici authorization program, then calling the AddCollateralAdmin of the collateral program, and finally executing WithdrawCollateralAsset to withdraw the balance. Both of Avici's programs are upgradable and share the same standard Solana account instead of multi-signature upgrade permissions.Avici confirmed the incident 1 hour and 53 minutes after the first theft transaction, stating, "We are aware of the issue affecting card balance withdrawals and are working directly with all relevant partners to resolve it." Prior to this, users had reported stolen balances on social media. A real-time tracker established by anonymous on-chain analyst STACC recorded 125 different sending accounts, with transfer amounts ranging from approximately 9 USDC to over 26,000 USDT.As a result, the AVICI token fell 49.4% in 24 hours to $0.2175, with a market cap of approximately $2.84 million, hitting an all-time low. Avici raised funds through MetaDAO in October 2025, with an original cap of $3.5 million, but the final committed amount reached $34.2 million, and the team refunded 89.8% of the committed USDC.

first_img MoonPay integrates with Kamino, allowing AI agents to lend and borrow on Solana

MoonPay has integrated the Solana lending protocol Kamino into its AI payment vault PayBox, allowing eligible users to execute token lending or collateralized borrowing on Solana through conversations with ChatGPT or Claude. According to DefiLlama data, Kamino has a locked value of approximately $1.3 billion, with an active loan scale of about $1 billion. This integration does not create new loan products but replaces Kamino's original interface with natural language commands. Users can request that each transaction requires passkey approval or allow the AI to operate autonomously within preset limits. MoonPay launched PayBox in July, initially supporting payments, token swaps, cross-chain bridging, and earning through Aave. The integration of Kamino marks its expansion from AI payment tools into the credit management field.Currently, AI-based crypto applications are mainly focused on small, high-frequency payment scenarios. The x402 protocol developed by Coinbase has processed approximately $50 million and 165 million payments. This integration allows AI to manage user funds, with a single command capable of creating leveraged positions. If the value of the collateral falls and triggers Kamino's liquidation threshold, the position may be liquidated. This service is not currently available to users in the United States, United Kingdom, European Union, and Australia, with specific availability varying by asset and jurisdiction.

first_img SOL rose over 44% within the month, marking the conclusion of Solana's first on-chain governance vote

SOL has risen over 8% in the past 24 hours, with a cumulative increase of about 44% this month, marking the strongest single-month performance since 2024, with prices returning above $105. This round of increase coincides with the conclusion of the first on-chain binding governance vote for the Solana network, where traders have already priced in expectations of supply contraction this week. This vote includes three Solana governance proposals (SGP). SGP-1 approves the Solana Constitution, formally establishing the future on-chain voting mechanism. SGP-2 (SIMD-550), proposed by Helius engineers, doubles the deflation rate from 15% to 30%, bringing the inflation rate down to the 1.5% lower limit by 2029, reducing the issuance of approximately 18.9 million SOL over the next six years. SGP-3 (SIMD-553), proposed by Temporal, splits transaction fees into a base fee and a resource fee, with the latter being directly burned, and the daily burn amount expected to increase from about 650 SOL to a maximum of 9000 SOL.Both economic proposals require a two-thirds absolute majority of the staked weight to pass. The Nasdaq-listed Solana Company (HSDT) supports the constitutional proposal but opposes the two deflation and burn proposals on the grounds of timing, believing that current institutional stakers value predictable returns more. The voting results are expected to be announced within a few hours after the end of epoch 1023.

first_img Solana Treasury Company launches State of Solana data dashboard

DeFi Development Corp, a publicly traded company in the United States, announced the launch of State of Solana, a free public data dashboard that aggregates market, network, staking, and ecosystem metrics for Solana. The company is the first publicly traded firm in the U.S. to establish a treasury strategy around accumulating SOL, currently holding 2,294,576 SOL, valued at approximately $208 million, making it the second-largest holder of Solana treasury after Forward Industries.Pete Humiston, Chief Marketing Officer of DeFi Development Corp, stated that the company has spent considerable time explaining why they believe Solana is one of the most important networks in the crypto space, but this argument goes far beyond the price of SOL. State of Solana allows investors and ecosystem participants to view the underlying data themselves. The dashboard tracks SOL returns over five time windows, rainbow chart price history, real-time epoch progress and block times, transactions per second throughput, estimated staking yield and inflation rate, top yields in Solana DeFi, cross-chain activity comparisons, and validator staking distribution (including the Nakamoto coefficient). The company's stock, DFDV, is currently trading at approximately $4.50, with a market capitalization of about $140 million, down about 16% since the beginning of the year and down about 72% from $16 a year ago.
