GOAT Network officially launches BitVM2 testnet, promoting the implementation of Bitcoin native ZK Rollup
ChainCatcher news, on May 15th Eastern Time, the Bitcoin native ZK Rollup project GOAT Network officially launched the GOAT BitVM2 testnet, becoming the world's first online BitVM2 testnet, achieving the transition from white paper to testnet within a week, marking the accelerated advancement of Bitcoin L2 practicality.GOAT BitVM2 has compressed the challenge period from the original 14 days to less than 1 day, making it the most powerful and closest to real deployment BitVM2 architecture currently available. Its architecture integrates zkMIPS zero-knowledge proofs, decentralized sorters, and a multi-round random challenge reward mechanism, forming a complete Bitcoin native ZK Rollup solution. The code is fully open source, and the testnet is fully accessible, allowing developers to participate in staking, challenging, and bridging operations, with the recruitment of challenge nodes starting simultaneously. The core team of GOAT Network stated: "Without a practical incentive mechanism, no matter how strong the security is, it cannot be realized. BitVM2 is just the starting point, and we hope to truly bring Bitcoin into a usable and scalable Layer2 era through the practice of GOAT BitVM2."
