ChainCatcher news, reported by The Block, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin proposed on April 20 at the Ethereum Magicians forum to replace the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) with the open-source instruction set architecture RISC-V to enhance execution layer efficiency.Vitalik pointed out that this move could increase zero-knowledge proof efficiency by up to 100 times while maintaining bidirectional compatibility with existing EVM contracts. The proposal aims to address Ethereum's long-term scalability bottlenecks in data availability, block production competitiveness, and ZK-EVM proofs.

ChainCatcher message, Coinbase Assets posted on platform X stating that any accusations against Coinbase for not supporting Ethereum scalability are unfounded. Coinbase focuses on being a bridge to the crypto economy and supports L1 and L2.Additionally, Coinbase stated that while it currently does not support the technical migration of CELO L2, it plans to reassess its support after the migration is completed.
