first_img Matter Labs launched Prividium Commander to support the implementation of banking blockchain

Alex Gluchowski, CEO of Matter Labs, announced Prividium Commander at Money20/20 USA, pointing out that while most banks have tested blockchain, only a few have truly put it into production services. The crux of the issue lies in operational processes rather than the technology itself, including aspects such as issuance control, transfer processing, audit requirements, and compliance workflows.Prividium Commander is positioned as a unified control plane, allowing institutions to manage permissions, configure token functionalities, and set operational strategies all in one place, while also integrating with existing traditional financial systems of banks and being compatible with both public and private chain infrastructures. This product is built on Matter Labs' permissioned privacy blockchain platform, Prividium, which is based on ZK Stack technology, allowing institutions to run private chains on their own infrastructure and anchor transactions to Ethereum through zero-knowledge proofs, achieving Ethereum-level settlement finality without disclosing customer balances and transaction details.Matter Labs open-sourced the Prividium Core permission engine in September 2026, with the Deutsche Bundesbank being the first testing party. Cari Network has chosen Prividium to build a multi-bank tokenized deposit platform, with participants including regional banks such as Huntington and M&T Bank, planning to go live later in 2026. By mid-2026, Matter Labs had fully shifted its focus to the institutional privacy infrastructure of Prividium.

first_img Richard Byworth: The next round of Bitcoin's rise is just a matter of time, as selling pressure reaches record lows

According to Bitcoin Magazine, Richard Byworth previously worked at Syz Capital, focusing his career on hedge fund structure design. In an interview with Bitcoin Magazine, he stated that the next round of Bitcoin's rise is just a matter of time.He pointed out that, based on data from on-chain analysis platforms like Glassnode, the current level of seller exhaustion has reached a historical high. Although the market does not exhibit an extreme bearish atmosphere, multiple on-chain indicators show that Bitcoin is strongly building a bottom. He mentioned that Bitcoin has been trading in the range just above $80,000 in recent weeks, and he believed that $58,000 was a bottom.Byworth also discussed Bitcoin yield strategies. He warned that using a covered call strategy during a bullish market could lead to significant losses of Bitcoin for investors, and advocated for earning low-volatility, market-neutral returns through basis trading collateralized by Bitcoin. He noted that Strive had bought three times the weekly issuance of Bitcoin in a single transaction within a week, believing that the next round of rise is just a matter of time.Regarding Bitcoin treasury companies, Byworth stated that the digital credit products designed by Saylor are putting pressure on the traditional bond market, as the yield on 10-year U.S. Treasuries is around 5.1% to 5.2%, and investors will see their returns eroded by the faster pace of currency depreciation. He mentioned followers like Strive and Metaplanet, and believes that Bitcoin could break its historical high again before the end of the year, and reaching $350,000 in about a year is not entirely impossible.

first_img Matter Labs open-sources Prividium permission engine, German central bank tests self-hosted deployment

On September 8, the ZKsync development team Matter Labs announced that it has open-sourced the permission engine of its privacy blockchain platform Prividium for financial institutions under the Apache 2 license. This engine is responsible for managing roles and access permissions on the chain, determining who can read and write data. After the open-sourcing, institutions can run the permissioned chain in their own environment based on the public code without signing commercial agreements, and can independently inspect, run, and modify the core code, reducing reliance on a single vendor. The Deutsche Bundesbank became the first institution to test and deploy the open-source permission engine in its own infrastructure. Matter Labs stated that both parties will continue to collaborate on platform design and testing. Prividium achieves privacy by keeping transaction data within the institution, only recording zero-knowledge proofs that the ledger has been correctly updated on Ethereum or other compatible chains. Previously, the core of ZKsync OS, Atlas sequencer, Airbender prover, interoperability contracts, and block explorer and monitoring components have been open-sourced.Matter Labs CEO Alex Gluchowski stated that feedback from regulators indicated that relying solely on commercialized core components leads to unacceptable single vendor dependency, and the ability to run, inspect, and modify the code independently is a prerequisite for adoption. He also pointed out that this open-sourcing does not change the role of the ZK token, only adjusting which parts of the Prividium software are public code and which remain commercial products. Connectors such as management consoles, user access tools, and core banking system integrations remain paid products.
