The owner of the DOGE prototype Shiba Inu clarifies: the CATE token has no relation to me, only recognizing the DOG and COCORO projects

Doge prototype Shiba Inu Kabosu's owner Atsuko Sato clarified in a post that a series of CATE tokens circulating in the market recently have no connection to her. She stated that she had only posted a dynamic on Instagram previously, but that content was subsequently used by others without authorization to issue false tokens, creating the illusion of a connection with her. She expressed regret about this and pointed out that some accounts involved in spreading related information even include users with significant influence on the X platform. She emphasized that the only project currently authorized by her and responsible for managing her intellectual property is Own The Doge. She introduced that Own The Doge acquired Doge NFT in 2021 and launched the DOG token, while also being responsible for hosting Doge Day events, supporting charitable causes, and managing her intellectual property. In 2025, both parties collaborated to launch the COCORO token on the Base network. She stated that the profits obtained from the aforementioned projects will be used to care for her pet family members and support animal protection public welfare activities carried out by withkabosu. She urged the public to rely on officially released information and to remain vigilant about any unauthorized projects or tokens issued in her name, to avoid being misled by unrelated cryptocurrency projects.

After 14 years, Bitcoin addresses from the Satoshi Nakamoto era have shown activity, and some dormant wallets may still be controlled by their original owners

According to CoinDesk, an address from the "Satoshi era" that has never been used since March 2011, holding 35.55 bitcoins (approximately $2.54 million), made a transfer this week, which is seen as one of the first publicly visible responses from defendants in a lawsuit involving approximately 3.8 million bitcoins (valued at about $285 billion) in New York.On-chain data shows that the address transferred 15 BTC to a new address on June 2, keeping the remaining 20.55 BTC as change. The address initially received bitcoins on March 27, 2011, when the price of BTC was less than $1.In March of this year, a plaintiff using the pseudonym "Noah Doe" filed a lawsuit in New York state court alongside two LLCs from Wyoming, attempting to claim ownership of approximately 3.8 million long-dormant bitcoin wallets under New York's lost property law, positioning themselves as the "discoverer." The court approved sending on-chain notifications to the relevant wallets via the bitcoin OP_RETURN field. In July 2025, the advisory firm Salomon Brothers Strategic Advisors sent dust transactions with links to legal notices to 39,000 wallets, including the aforementioned address, requesting holders to prove ownership within 90 days.Alex Thorn, head of research at Galaxy Research, pointed out that the address corresponds to defendant number 38215 in the case, stating, "Clearly, these bitcoins have not actually been abandoned."Additionally, another address that had been dormant for 15 years, 1CDSyXAQxro4FPUoqAQb81642ruqDsUiNp, also transferred 20 BTC (approximately $1.48 million) on the same day, but this address did not appear on Noah Doe's list of lawsuits.Analysis suggests that the on-chain movements mentioned above indicate that some bitcoins from the Satoshi era, considered "abandoned assets," are actually still under the control of the original holders.

first_img Lily Liu, President of the Solana Foundation: About 180 out of 195 countries worldwide do not have access to capital markets, and blockchain provides a path to ownership

ChainCatcher reports live that Lily Liu, President of the Solana Foundation, delivered a keynote speech at the 2026 Hong Kong Web3 Carnival. She pointed out from a macroeconomic perspective that global production, users, and resources are distributed globally, but capital formation is not; only 20 stock exchanges in 14 countries account for 94% of the global market value of approximately $145 trillion, with two-thirds concentrated in the United States. This means that about 180 countries have almost no access to capital markets, and their economies can only rely on debt rather than equity financing, failing to provide ownership pathways for their citizens. She proposed the vision of an "Internet Capital Market," where any asset from anywhere can raise capital from anyone globally, priced in dollars and settled on an open track. Stablecoins are the key infrastructure for this vision, enabling any country to participate in the global financial system, while Solana provides the underlying settlement and execution layers. She also contrasted "Universal Basic Ownership" (UBO) with the widely discussed "Universal Basic Income" (UBI) in the AI era, arguing that blockchain allows anyone with a mobile phone to hold a part of their country's economy, representing basic property rights in the digital age without resorting to placing everyone in a welfare system.
