PGIM: The Federal Reserve will initiate its first rate cut in September and will cut rates again in December
ChainCatcher news, according to Jinshi reports, PGIM Chief U.S. Economist Bocelli stated that due to the slowdown in cyclical hiring over the past few months, U.S. attention has shifted from inflation to the easing of the labor market, allowing the Federal Reserve to begin cutting interest rates in September. The Federal Reserve is expected to announce a rate cut for September at tonight's meeting. A further rate cut may occur at the December meeting, and the possibility of a rate cut in November should not be overlooked. It is expected that by the end of 2025, the Federal Reserve will have cumulatively cut rates by about 150 basis points.
