first_img Walt launched AI agent perpetual contract trading, supporting ChatGPT and Claude

According to The Defiant, the Telegram crypto application Walt (formerly Wallet in Telegram) announced the launch of AI agent trading features on October 20. Users can connect to Mira developed by The Open Platform, OpenAI's ChatGPT, and Anthropic's Claude to manage perpetual contract positions. The connected agents can access real-time perpetual contract prices and market news, view user holdings, leverage, and liquidation risks, and open or close long and short positions based on instructions. They can also set simple rules such as take profit, stop loss, and dollar-cost averaging, monitoring positions around the clock. In terms of security mechanisms, AI agents can only operate funds deposited in dedicated trading accounts and cannot withdraw or transfer funds. Order execution is turned off by default; agents can only analyze and suggest, and users must manually enable it to place actual orders. Users can set their own agent instructions and trading limits, view each step of their operations in real-time, and disconnect at any time. Walt's founder and CEO Andrew Rogozov stated that traditional trading applications are built around terminals, charts, and order tickets, requiring users to learn how to use them, while Telegram users already hold funds in Walt.Walt's perpetual contract business launched in April this year through the decentralized exchange Lighter, offering over 50 markets and supporting up to 50x leverage, settled in USDT. The application was renamed from Wallet in Telegram to Walt on September 28, with developers claiming over 150 million users. Mira launched in February, surpassing 2 million users in May, with over 500,000 monthly active users. Additionally, Robinhood also released an AI trading agent based on dedicated accounts last month.

first_img Cloudflare and OpenAI pilot, ChatGPT indexes hundreds of millions of new web pages

In July 2026, the internet infrastructure company Cloudflare launched a research pilot with OpenAI to test whether Cloudflare's network signals could help ChatGPT users discover new content more efficiently. Both parties reported positive early results, with the pilot incorporating previously unknown pages into OpenAI's search index, providing ChatGPT with more sources to reference. The pilot utilized about 1% of Cloudflare's global participation queue, allowing OpenAI to discover and index hundreds of millions of new web pages. OpenAI independently evaluated and ranked these pages based on relevance and usefulness, while ChatGPT Search enabled users to view original content and publishers through backlinks. Observations indicated that automated traffic might make non-existent pages appear noteworthy, with some sites redirecting arbitrary addresses to their homepage and others pointing to duplicate content. Both parties are also testing signals to identify potentially harmful pages, such as fake login pages embedded on legitimate sites, advocating for the marking of single pages rather than entire domains.Related signals are also used to filter out non-existent or redirecting pages and to assess whether unchanged pages are worth revisiting. Page signals do not constitute access permission; the study utilized web metadata for search and discovery rather than using page content for model training. Site owners can understand and manage how AI systems access their websites through Cloudflare's AI Crawl Control. The next phase will improve page selection and test faster, more reliable change signals.

Tencent's internal testing personal investment analysis assistant "Rena Lancaic", supports connecting to WeChat

According to "Du Jia," Tencent is conducting a small-scale test of its personal investment analysis assistant "Rena Lan Cai," which has a PC version and a WeChat mini-program, supporting connection to WeChat. This product is positioned as an AI assistant for individual investors, helping users obtain and understand market and company information, and is currently in a small-scale testing phase. The web version breaks down the investment research workflow into visual modules, with core features including market quick reads, individual stock tracking, and AI Q&A. The market quick read summarizes global market dynamics, continuously updated in the morning, noon, closing, and evening, and associates market information with the user's watchlist; the left sidebar allows users to customize stocks of interest and displays real-time market data, while the right side features an intelligent Q&A panel linked to the day's quick read content, supporting follow-up questions about industry rankings, cash flow in financial reports, and more. In addition to the PC version, Rena Lan Cai is also launched as a WeChat mini-program, with basic functionality aligned across both platforms and conversation records shared. The product also appears in the WeChat chat list as a WeChat ClawBot intelligent entity, allowing users to directly access investment research capabilities in the chat window. The report states that Alibaba is also internally testing its AI investment research product Qovest, and Baidu's previously released Kuku AI is also focusing on investment research, as major companies collectively enter the personal investor AI investment research space. Rena Lan Cai essentially serves as an investment research assistance tool, not providing investment advice and avoiding direct trading compliance red lines.

Enterprise WeChat and WorkBuddy are deeply integrated, allowing access to chat and meeting records

According to Beating reports, Tencent announced a deep integration of WeChat Work and WorkBuddy. In the new version of WeChat Work 5.0.12, WorkBuddy enters the corporate address book, allowing employees to chat with it, assign tasks, or pull it into work groups just like they would with colleagues, for summarizing group chats, organizing meeting to-dos, drafting emails, and returning results directly upon completion.WorkBuddy 5.8.0 supports logging in with a WeChat Work account. Within the scope of corporate authorization, it can access 10 office capabilities including chat messages, documents, meetings, and WeChat Cloud. Employees do not need to repeatedly upload materials, as they can handle tasks by combining previous discussions and project files, with results saved to WeChat Cloud with one click. The WorkBuddy bot can also connect to WeChat Work's built-in AI assistant "DaYuan" to collaboratively handle more complex tasks.Administrators can assign WorkBuddy accounts, set data access permissions, and through the "Observability Center," which will begin public testing on October 13, view the points consumption of various departments, model usage, task duration, and track which specific execution steps encountered issues. The new interoperability features are open to certified WeChat Work enterprises and offer a limited free trial quota.

first_img OpenAI: Teenagers use ChatGPT for less than 15 minutes a day

OpenAI released its first report on teen usage on Wednesday, stating that teenagers use ChatGPT for an average of less than 15 minutes a day, with less than 2% using it for more than 3 hours continuously. The company noted that in conversations where break reminders appeared, nearly half of the users chose to take a break or ended the conversation within 5 minutes.OpenAI launched ChatGPT for Teens in August. This mode automatically activates based on age information or when it estimates the user is under 18, providing parental controls and limiting discussions on sensitive topics. The company stated that users of the teen version sent more education-related messages and used tools like learning visualization and Study Mode, and are considering adding learning features such as college application planning, flashcards, and quizzes. The nonprofit organization Common Sense Media reported on the same day that ChatGPT for Teens often notifies parents late or not at all when teen accounts discuss suicide, self-harm, or eating disorders. This study was based on more than a dozen accounts created for testing and found that the chatbot does not reliably suggest crisis hotlines or professional help. An OpenAI spokesperson stated that the test does not accurately reflect the actual operation of protections, and due to safety and scale reasons, the association of parents with teen accounts and safety reminders may take several hours to take effect.

first_img OpenAI is facing a class-action lawsuit, accused of allowing outsourced personnel to read ChatGPT conversations

Two ChatGPT users from California filed a proposed class action lawsuit against OpenAI in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California this month, accusing the company of failing to adequately inform users that their real conversations were being handed over to external contractors for processing. The lawsuit was served to OpenAI on September 2, focusing on its internal initiative Project Lily. According to the complaint, "AI data reviewers" and "chatbot evaluators" recruited through a third-party staffing company read real ChatGPT prompts and complete conversations, summarize user intent, and score and comment on responses from four models on a scale of 1 to 7.This process is known in the industry as reinforcement learning from human feedback (RLHF), which is a fundamental method for enhancing chatbot capabilities. The complaint states that users were never explicitly informed that a person, rather than a machine, might be reading their conversations. OpenAI filters conversations through an automated system before human review, but the complaint alleges that the filters cannot intercept all content, and personal details sometimes still reach contractors. 404 Media first reported on the project on September 14 and found that the reviewers' dashboard included "user memory summaries," which could expose users' approximate locations, occupations, or private life information, even though usernames had been removed.OpenAI stated that such reviews aim to reduce two behaviors: chatbots behaving too much like humans and overly catering to users, referred to by researchers as "flattery." The complaint raises eight legal claims, including violations of California's Unfair Competition Law, Consumer Privacy Act, and common law claims for intrusion into private affairs, with the plaintiffs seeking damages, restitution of unjust enrichment, and punitive damages.
