first_img DeepSeek announced the design of AI coding agents to reduce manual intervention in multitasking

Chinese artificial intelligence company DeepSeek has announced a design plan aimed at enhancing the autonomy of AI coding assistants, allowing them to reduce human intervention while performing multiple tasks. According to a report by the South China Morning Post on Sunday, the plan originates from a paper published by the DeepSeek Harness team, with the core goal of reducing the human effort required to coordinate and monitor multiple AI agents. The team pointed out that managing multiple agents consumes human attention and cited a statement from the paper that "the single-task limit depends on model capability, while the multi-task limit depends on human attention." The paper also stated that one person can only supervise 3 to 5 active AI agent conversations at the same time. The proposed system will allocate tasks and coordinate work among the agents, allowing humans to free up energy to review results and make decisions. This proposal comes at a time of intense competition among AI developers, involving American companies Anthropic and OpenAI. Previously, Cointelegraph reported in October last year that, according to data from blockchain analysis platform CoinGlass, Chinese AI models outperformed their American counterparts in cryptocurrency trading, with DeepSeek being the only AI model in an experiment to achieve a 9.1% positive unrealized return, while the development cost of this model was only a small fraction of that of its American competitors.

first_img Cognition acquires AI coding security company Corridor

On October 28, Jack Cable, co-founder of AI coding security company Corridor, and Ashwin Ramaswami published an article on the Cognition official website stating that Corridor will join Cognition and take Devin Security to the next stage. Cognition later stated on X that the company is acquiring Corridor. Cognition is the developer of AI software engineer Devin.Jack Cable and Ashwin Ramaswami wrote that Corridor was founded about two years ago with the mission of accelerating secure and autonomous software development, and it has now become a security layer for AI-native teams. The two stated that they will collaborate with Cognition President and early Corridor advisor Russell Kaplan, Chief Security Officer Alex Stamos, and Chief Technology Officer Steven Hao. They also mentioned that throughout their careers, they have discovered and fixed vulnerabilities in critical systems and believe that AI agents are now capable of executing end-to-end attack chains, necessitating new tools for defenders.Previously, Corridor announced in August 2025 the completion of a $5.4 million seed round led by Conviction, and in March 2026 announced the completion of a $25 million Series A round led by Felicis, with a valuation of $200 million, with participation from Conviction, Timeless, Lux Capital, Datadog, SV Angel, and others. Its product positioning is to embed security controls in the process of AI-generated code, rather than adding security measures after the code is written.

first_img Breez: AI coding agency drives Bitcoin integration demand surge by approximately 14 times

Bitcoin software company Breez stated that since AI coding agents have become mainstream, the demand for its developer tools has surged significantly, with consulting requests increasing by approximately 14 times. Developers and the AI agents they deploy are seeking to integrate Bitcoin payments into their applications. Breez directly attributes this growth to Anthropic's Claude Code, which was launched as a research preview in February 2025 and officially opened three months later.Breez noted that before 2025, potential partners mainly fell into three categories: staunch Bitcoin enthusiasts, crypto developers, and fintech companies that view Bitcoin as an asset class. Since the launch of Claude Code, many developers with little to no Bitcoin experience have begun to inquire, with demand coming from fitness applications, messaging apps that want users to transfer money to each other, eSIM services for travelers, and a team developing a mushroom identification app. Breez stated that these developers often choose Bitcoin for its speed, as traditional payment processing involves bank accounts and cross-border transfers, which can take weeks or even months, while its SDK can be operational in just a few minutes.Breez mentioned that an increasing number of inquiries are coming from software rather than humans, as coding agents often represent the companies deploying them in making requests. The company believes that agents prefer Bitcoin because it is permissionless; agents can build applications and set up payments for global users without needing to open bank accounts, go through approvals, or sign documents. Breez stated that its latest SDK, built on the Bitcoin scaling protocol Spark, has successfully handled the increased traffic.
