first_img Aave iOS app has opened early access, while Android and Web users are still pending access

Aave began opening its iOS mobile application to early users on Wednesday, pushing its consumer savings product into early access, while Android and Web users still need to wait on the waiting list. Aave founder Stani Kulechov stated that the Ghost Pass allows users to invite friends to skip the waiting list. The app is positioned as a savings application, supporting bank account and stablecoin deposits, allowing users to connect bank accounts and debit cards, with stablecoin wallets supporting deposits and withdrawals on Arbitrum. Funds deposited generate returns through the public lending market, with assets supplied to the lending pool, and the interest paid by borrowers flowing to depositors. Aave Labs stated in July that there were about 50,000 registered users on the iOS waiting list.Aave describes the app as self-custodial, although it has login and recovery features similar to fintech applications. The app's terms state that the embedded wallet generates and stores private keys locally, and Aave Labs does not hold user assets or keys, managing wallet setup and gas through smart account abstraction. This release is part of Aave's initiative to expand retail distribution following the acquisition of Stable Finance in October 2025, with Stable Vaults now providing a savings layer for the Aave app and open to fintech companies seeking embedded stablecoin yields.

first_img Strategy net leverage ratio has dropped to nearly zero, and cash reserves are close to the scale of convertible bonds

The dollar assets of Bitcoin Treasury Company Strategy have reached $6.69 billion, nearly equivalent to its $6.75 billion outstanding convertible bonds, with the net leverage ratio dropping to nearly zero. Driven by ongoing buybacks and the rebound of Bitcoin prices to around $80,000, its preferred stock STRC has rebounded over 35% since the low in June, currently reported at $97.23, still below the $100 par value.Executive Chairman Michael Saylor stated that USD Cash has enhanced the company's digital credit capital framework, specifically for the general purposes of Bitcoin Treasury Company, including increasing BTC holdings, paying preferred stock dividends and interest, repurchasing MSTR/preferred stock, repaying convertible bonds, and increasing dollar reserves. In May, Strategy repurchased $1.5 billion of convertible bonds maturing in 2029 to alleviate its debt burden.Competitor Strive Asset Management eliminated all debt earlier this year, and its preferred stock SATA has rebounded to the $100 par value, with shares issued last week through an ATM program. Analysts pointed out that eliminating debt will strengthen STRC's position in the capital structure, but ongoing buybacks, ample dollar liquidity, and the rebound in Bitcoin prices may provide more direct support for the preferred stock to return to par value.

Analyst: Bitcoin's on-chain capital inflow has turned positive for the first time in nearly 3 months, but demand intensity remains at historically low levels

CryptoQuant analyst Axel Adler Jr. stated that the on-chain capital flow of Bitcoin showed directional improvement in the second half of August. The realized market cap relative net position change rose to +0.1% on August 24, marking the first positive shift since May 28, and has further increased to +0.21% as of today, indicating that the nearly three-month net capital outflow status has ended.Meanwhile, the 30-day apparent demand/new supply ratio for Bitcoin has been above 1 for six consecutive days, with the latest figure at 2.52, meaning the 30-day apparent demand is approximately 2.5 times the new BTC issuance during the same period. This indicator had dropped to -6.93 on August 2 and briefly rose to 3.16 on August 21. However, the absolute strength of both indicators remains relatively low. Since 2024, the median for periods of positive realized market cap has been +3.24%, while the current +0.21% is only at the lowest 3%-4% of positive samples; the historical median for the apparent demand ratio above 1 is 7.65, and the current 2.52 is also at the lowest 10%. It is believed that the more important signal currently is that the direction of capital flow has shifted from outflow to slight inflow, and demand has once again exceeded new supply, but a strong new demand cycle cannot yet be confirmed. Future observations are needed to see if the realized market cap can remain positive and if the apparent demand can further expand.

first_img Uniswap founder: Tokenization will reshape the market-making landscape, and AMM is still in its early stages

Uniswap founder Hayden Adams stated that after nine years of DeFi practice, the path for AMM to become the core engine of the global financial market is becoming increasingly clear. He pointed out that tokenization is not only an infrastructure upgrade but also changes who provides liquidity and what is traded in the market. The SEC has approved Nasdaq and the New York Stock Exchange to trade tokenized stocks, and the DTCC also conducted live testing of tokenized trading in July.Adams believes that traditional market makers vertically integrate capital, strategy, execution, settlement, and distribution, which is costly; blockchain disassembles these components, making capital a scarce input. Liquidity providers who already hold relevant assets or are the issuers themselves can bear inventory exposure at zero cost, thereby weakening professional market makers with lower capital costs. An on-chain "related asset pair" model has naturally formed (such as the Ethereum ecosystem pairing with ETH and stablecoins), as correlation reduces inventory risk and deepens liquidity. He cited that there are already 10 tokenized stocks on the Robinhood Chain forming a Uniswap pool with SPY, which has traded approximately $33 million in 12 days, with some trades occurring directly between stocks without touching the dollar. Adams also stated that although Uniswap's cumulative trading volume has reached about $4.6 trillion, AMM is still in its early stages, and there is significant room for improvement in subsequent design and ecosystem.

first_img CryptoQuant analysts say that Bitcoin has emerged from the bear market and entered the early stage of a bull market

Analysts at the cryptocurrency research firm CryptoQuant believe that Bitcoin has emerged from the bear market, but a short-term pullback may occur. CryptoQuant founder Ki Young Ju posted on social media that Bitcoin has entered the early stage of a bull market and pointed out that the current trend is consistent with the market conditions before the last bull market.CryptoQuant's research shows that the inflow of funds to derivatives exchanges has resumed, confirming that traders have entered a risk-on mode, which has historically marked the beginning of a new bull market. The firm's analyst Theophiluspep stated that while Bitcoin is entering a bull market, spot demand, ETF fund flows, and market momentum have turned bullish, while high profit-taking, inflows to exchanges, and overbought conditions suggest a potential short-term cooling.Bitcoin continued to rise last week, increasing by 22% over the past 7 days, with the latest price at $78,716, briefly touching $81,160 on Monday. Previously, in June and July, Bitcoin mostly traded below $65,000. U.S. investors reversed direction last week and bought Bitcoin ETFs, achieving the best weekly performance since October, with data from Farside Investors showing that related funds managed by institutions such as BlackRock, Fidelity, Grayscale, and Morgan Stanley saw an inflow of $1.9 billion in new funds. Additionally, the U.S. Treasury announced last week that it would at least double its long-term Treasury bond repurchase scale, leading to a decline in yields, with Bitcoin and gold rising in tandem.
