Garrett Jin: Bitcoin at $80,000 to $82,500 is a key resistance zone, and the short squeeze momentum is hard to sustain

"BTC OG insider whale" agent Garrett Jin analyzed that Bitcoin's recent breakthrough of $70,000 was driven by multiple positive factors, including the expansion of the U.S. Treasury's bond buyback, the SEC's proposed regulatory framework for crypto assets, and the White House crypto summit. The current price has entered a dense area of trapped positions between the latter half of $60,000 and the lower range of $80,000, with the first resistance level showing signs of loosening.Garrett Jin pointed out that over the past two months, a large amount of new holding costs has accumulated in the area just above $60,000, providing bottom support for this breakthrough. Although the short squeeze triggered by short liquidations may push Bitcoin above $80,000 in the short term, the $80,000 to $82,500 range is a key resistance area to watch, and the short squeeze momentum is difficult to sustain in the long term. If effective absorption of chips can occur below $80,000 before the breakthrough, it would be more beneficial for the healthy development of subsequent trends. On the same day, SK Hynix announced the largest stock buyback and cancellation plan in South Korea's history, committing to return at least 50% of the expected free cash flow before 2027 to shareholders. The stock price surged more than 10% at one point, triggering the buyer's circuit breaker mechanism for the KOSPI index. Analysts believe this move can alleviate market concerns about the declining risk appetite for South Korean semiconductor stocks, but it cannot change the cyclical trend of the memory industry itself.

first_img DingTalk launches AI office app QwenNote, hardware QwenNote A2 exposed

According to "DuJia," DingTalk is advancing a brand new AI office application QwenNote (Qianwen Listening Note). This application is positioned as an AI personal assistant, integrating real-time voice transcription, summarization, and translation through a combination of software and hardware, and deeply integrating with AI Agent, embedding Agent capabilities into voice input, promoting a shift from simple recording to automated execution. The application supports real-time transcription and bilingual recognition in Chinese and English, as well as language switching, and can generate structured meeting minutes, outlines, and to-do lists, with built-in AI Q&A and quick commands based on listening materials.QwenNote offers a voice memo function, requiring a QR code scan to connect to the recording device. By long-pressing the button on the back of the device, users can record inspirations, and once the recording is complete, it will automatically archive, generate a title and brief summary, and timestamp it. The product also features a stealth protection mode, which, when activated, will physically delete the original audio and only retain the transcribed text to accommodate confidential scenarios. The associated hardware QwenNote A2 has already been showcased, which is part of the Qianwen Listening Note hardware ecosystem, which also includes DingTalk A1, DingTalk A1 Pro, Cleer H1, etc., and users can complete the binding by scanning a QR code.Reports indicate that DingTalk hopes to complement the offline voice collection entry through the integration of software and hardware, forming a closed loop of on-site audio collection, real-time bilingual transcription, AI meeting minutes Q&A, and DingTalk organizational collaboration. Listening materials can be synchronized to DingTalk AI Listening Note and support personal private isolation. On the software side, it continues to embed large models into documents, meetings, and IM scenarios, while on the hardware side, it expands the Qianwen Listening Note product line. Relevant hardware has not yet been widely publicly searched for more formal release information.

The next Ethereum upgrade "Hegotá" has entered the planning stage, with 66 EIPs competing for a spot in the 2027 hard fork

Ethereum developer Toni Wahrstätter posted on the X platform that Ethereum core developers are planning the next annual upgrade "Hegotá," with 66 Ethereum Improvement Proposals (EIPs) currently on the candidate list. Future core developer meetings will screen these proposals to finalize the upgrade content that can be implemented, tested on the development network, deployed on the test network, and has the potential to go live in 2027. Proposals that do not make it into Hegotá will be postponed until the next hard fork, making the current screening process significantly impactful for Ethereum's future development direction.Currently, FOCIL (Fork-Choice Enforced Inclusion Lists) has been identified as one of the important upgrade contents for Hegotá. Developers believe that combining framework transactions (EIP-8141), keying Nonce (EIP-8250), and root references (EIP-8272) will help build native privacy capabilities, allowing privacy applications to operate without relying on third-party intermediaries. Additionally, enhancing scalability is also a crucial direction for Hegotá. Developers propose that it is necessary to prepare for a future increase in the Gas limit to 600 million by repricing data resources (EIP-8131, EIP-8279) and state growth costs (EIP-8368). Although these improvements are not as intuitive as privacy features, they are considered key work to promote Ethereum's scalability in the short term.Other candidate upgrades include shorter block times (EIP-8198), adjustments to the issuance mechanism (EIP-8363), anti-correlation penalty mechanisms (EIP-7716), EVM optimization and simplification, as well as discussions on the first EIPs related to zkEVM and quantum-resistant cryptography. It is reported that Hegotá cannot incorporate all the features the community expects, and the core team needs to make trade-offs between "future vision" and "near-term deliverable upgrades," with most candidate EIPs likely not making it into this upgrade. Currently, it has been 256 days since the launch of the current Glamsterdam upgrade, with the goal of completing deployment by the end of this year. Hegotá is planned to go live in 2027, and in the coming months, core developers and the community will discuss the priorities of various EIPs. Community opinions will still play a role in the screening process, and participants who support or oppose a certain EIP entering Hegotá can present their views to the core development team through public discussions.

BNB Chain will launch the Pasteur hard fork on August 25

BNB Smart Chain (BSC) announced that the Pasteur hard fork will officially launch on the mainnet at 10:30 AM Beijing time on August 25 (02:30 UTC on August 25). Node operators need to upgrade to client version v1.7.7 in advance. This upgrade includes three improvements: BEP-682, BEP-695, and BEP-675, focusing on enhancing cross-chain security, validator governance mechanisms, and network throughput capacity.Among them, BEP-682 will strengthen the cross-chain bridge validation mechanism of the BNB Chain, preventing the risk of permission bypass caused by duplicate calculations of validator signatures, thus improving the security of cross-chain asset transfers. BEP-695 optimizes the validator key rotation mechanism, ensuring that old keys no longer retain management permissions after exiting, while also fixing potential vulnerabilities related to penalties and governance voting. In terms of performance, BEP-675 reduces the time consumption caused by validators repeatedly executing transactions by optimizing the block construction process. In the internal QANet testing environment of the BNB Chain, this solution increased throughput from 1237 TPS to 2324 TPS, while maintaining a block time of 450 milliseconds and a block limit of 100 million Gas, with the average Gas usage per block rising from 46.35 million to 84.15 million.BNB Chain stated that this upgrade is primarily aimed at validators and block builders, intending to provide greater capacity during network peak periods and to promote the throughput expansion goals outlined in the BNB Chain roadmap for the second half of 2026.
