U.S. Treasury Secretary Yellen: Not in a hurry to choose Powell's successor

Mnuchin said on a television program on Wednesday, "There are many strong candidates, including several key committee members, and possibly regional bank presidents." He did not disclose specific names.Reports suggest that Mnuchin himself, White House National Economic Council Director Hassett, former Federal Reserve Governor Kevin Warsh, and current Federal Reserve Governor Waller are among the candidates nominated by Trump for the chairmanship. Mnuchin said, "There is a long, long list." He stated, "I do not intend to discuss this process, but we are moving forward with it, and obviously, it will be President Trump's decision, and we are not in a hurry."
