first_img Bit2Me established Bit2Shield to assist law enforcement in tracking cryptocurrency assets

Spain's largest cryptocurrency exchange Bit2Me announced the establishment of an independent company Bit2Shield (registered name CryptoShield S.L) to assist courts, police, and financial institutions in tracking, seizing, storing, and selling cryptocurrency assets. This department will support investigators in extracting wallet data, locating cryptocurrency assets, and issuing digital signature forensic reports that can be used in court, while also being responsible for fraud investigations, source of funds verification, and providing training for police, judges, and banks. This move formalizes the work Bit2Me previously conducted for public institutions. In 2025, Bit2Me handled seized cryptocurrency assets worth 1.5 million euros (approximately 1.74 million dollars) for Interpol, Europol, and the Spanish police, using blockchain analysis company Chainalysis to track the assets. Bit2Shield will store seized assets in cold wallets that require multiple signatures and arrange for their sale when ordered by authorities, with proceeds transferred to government bank accounts in euros.Bit2Shield is part of Bit2Me's expansion from retail trading to banking and public institution infrastructure, with investors including Bankinter, Unicaja, Cecabank, Telefónica, and Tether. Since Bit2Shield focuses on investigations, forensics, and training, it is not considered a cryptocurrency service provider under the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA); any operations involving the exchange of cryptocurrency for euros will be handled by Bitcoinforme S.L., an entity authorized by the Spanish securities regulator MiCA under Bit2Me.

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China plans for intelligent computing power to reach 9800 EFLOPS by 2030

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China released the "14th Five-Year Plan for the Development of the Information and Communication Industry," setting the national intelligent computing power target at 9800 EFLOPS by 2030. According to data from the National Bureau of Statistics, as of the end of July, the national intelligent computing scale was approximately 2450 EFLOPS (FP16), indicating that it needs to expand by about 4 times in the next four years based on this standard. The plan proposes an orderly deployment of intelligent computing clusters with tens of thousands and hundreds of thousands of cards, building inference computing power for different scenarios, and increasing the adaptation of domestic computing power chips. Currently, 52 intelligent computing facilities with more than ten thousand cards have been established nationwide. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology disclosed that the intelligent computing power scale at the end of June was 2185 EFLOPS, a year-on-year increase of 177%. The plan uses 1590 EFLOPS in 2025 as a benchmark, aiming to reach 9800 EFLOPS by 2030, which is an expansion of about 6.2 times. During the same period, the cumulative investment target for information infrastructure in the information and communication industry is 3.8 trillion yuan, which also includes communication networks and is not all allocated for AI computing power.

Data: Over the weekend, the capital flow of mainstream public chains showed divergence, with BNB Chain experiencing net inflow and Robinhood Chain currently facing capital outflow

According to on-chain data from DeFiLlama, there was a significant divergence in the capital flow of mainstream public chains over the weekend. BNB Chain saw a net inflow of approximately 28.22 million USD in the last 24 hours, indicating that funds are still continuously gathering in the BSC ecosystem; in contrast, Robinhood Chain experienced a net outflow of about 18.04 million USD in the last 24 hours. Earlier data from September 5 showed that Robinhood Chain had a net outflow of approximately 21.07 million USD in a single day, making it the network with the largest capital outflow among major public chains that day.In terms of capital activity, although Robinhood Chain experienced a net outflow, on-chain trading activity remained relatively high. DeFiLlama data shows that its DEX trading volume in the past 7 days was approximately 10.424 billion USD, an increase of 95.26% compared to the previous week, with a DEX trading volume of about 1.368 billion USD in the last 24 hours; BNB Chain's DEX trading volume in the past 7 days was approximately 8.254 billion USD, a weekly increase of 20.99%, with a net inflow of about 28.22 million USD in the last 24 hours.Meanwhile, data from September 6 indicated that Solana's DEX trading volume in the past 24 hours was approximately 1.96 billion USD, surpassing BNB Chain's 1.64 billion USD and Robinhood Chain's 1.61 billion USD, reclaiming the top spot in DEX trading volume among mainstream public chains. Overall, the past weekend showed characteristics of "high trading activity maintained, with a rebalancing of capital flow" among mainstream public chains: BNB Chain continued to absorb funds against a backdrop of high trading volume, while Robinhood Chain, despite rapid growth in DEX trading volume, experienced continuous net outflows, suggesting that some funds may be leaving the network after high-frequency trading.

first_img Goldman Sachs: Optical networks are the next trend in AI infrastructure, with TAM increasing 9 times to 154 billion USD

Goldman Sachs' Global Technology Equity Research Team released a report on April 17, 2026, stating that networks unlock the computing power of a single AI chip by connecting multiple chips, enabling seamless data exchange and low latency. With the expansion of AI infrastructure and the enhancement of computing power, various configurations are expected to see growth, further opening up a 9-fold Total Addressable Market (TAM) space to $154 billion. The report pointed out that the dollar content of horizontal and vertical scaling increases by 16 times and 45 times, respectively; the TAM for optics expands 13 times from horizontal to vertical scaling; the market value of pluggable optical modules in horizontal scaling expands 10 times from AI server models in the second half of 2025 to models in the second half of 2027. The authors include Allen Chang, Verena Jeng, James Schneider, Mark Delaney, among others. The total dollar content for each computing unit in vertical and horizontal scaling is expected to increase from $315,000 for GB300 NVL72 to $9.4 billion for Rubin Ultra NVL576, a 29-fold increase. The total value TAM increases 9 times to $154 billion (mainly in 2028), of which 69% ($106 billion) comes from vertical scaling. The analysis covers the dollar content and market opportunities of configurations such as copper cables, pluggable optical modules, CPO, and PCB backplanes.

first_img Cross-chain infrastructure Router Protocol announced its closure and will destroy 303 million ROUTE tokens

Router Protocol, a cross-chain infrastructure project supported by Coinbase Ventures, announced that it will cease all operations by September 30 and plans to permanently destroy 303,333,198 ROUTE tokens held in its treasury, accounting for about 30% of the total supply of nearly 1 billion tokens. The team released a statement on X, stating that over the past year, they attempted commercialization, licensing, and acquisition negotiations, but failed to achieve sustainable operational results.Router identified the flow of funds from the cryptocurrency sector to artificial intelligence and the decline in cross-chain asset transfer fees as core challenges facing its operations. As activities concentrated on fewer networks and standardized infrastructure, the demand for its services has decreased. The team noted that bridging economic profits are thin, fees have been compressed, and costs have never stopped. As part of the closure, Router will negotiate with centralized exchanges to stop supporting ROUTE tokens, and the delisting arrangements and withdrawal processes may vary across exchanges.Router raised $4.1 million from investors including Coinbase Ventures and Polygon in 2021 and launched the proof-of-stake Layer 1 blockchain Router Chain in July 2024, but it was shut down in September 2025 due to infrastructure costs, validator expansion, and security risks. The team also disclosed two security incidents in 2025: in February, approximately 80% of the value was recovered through negotiations after a vulnerability incident, while losses from a chain-level vulnerability in July could not be recovered.
