Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issues the Artificial Intelligence Small and Medium Enterprises Entrepreneurship Support Plan

According to a report by the Financial Associated Press, the General Office of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has issued the "Entrepreneurship Support Plan for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises in Artificial Intelligence (2026-2028)." Over three years, it aims to cultivate a large number of innovative and dynamic artificial intelligence startups with significant growth potential in key areas such as industry applications, data services, and intelligent computing power. More than 10,000 new technology and innovation-oriented small and medium-sized enterprises will be nurtured, with over 2,000 "specialized, refined, distinctive, and innovative" small giant enterprises emerging, along with a number of gazelle and unicorn companies.Focusing on the field of artificial intelligence, the plan will establish 10 high-standard technology enterprise incubators and 10 national public service demonstration platforms (bases) for small and medium-sized enterprises. It will also cultivate 10 national-level characteristic industrial clusters for small and medium-sized enterprises. first_img Micron plans to expand HBM production capacity to approximately 100,000 wafers per month by the end of the year

According to Electronic News on September 3, Micron plans to double its high bandwidth memory (HBM) production capacity compared to last year, with a maximum addition of 60,000 wafers per month by the end of this year. Insiders say that Micron's HBM output was about 40,000 to 50,000 wafers per month last year, and it is expected to reach about 100,000 wafers per month by the end of the year, narrowing the gap with Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix.Micron is increasing procurement orders from multiple HBM equipment suppliers, with production bases mainly in Taiwan and Singapore, continuously introducing equipment. Currently, the output is mainly HBM3E 12-layer, with HBM4 12-layer accounting for about 20% to 30% at the beginning of this year, which may rise to as high as 50% by the end of the year. HBM4 12-layer will be used in NVIDIA's latest AI accelerator, Vera Rubin, and Micron has started mass production of this product since the second quarter of this year.Micron CEO Mehrotra stated in the Q3 earnings call for fiscal year 2026 in June this year that the ramp-up speed of HBM4 12-layer mass production is about twice that of HBM3E 12-layer, and cumulative revenue from HBM4 shipments has exceeded $1 billion. The industry believes that Samsung and SK Hynix each have HBM production capacities of about 150,000 to 200,000 wafers per month. Berkshire CEO: Plans to hold long-term stakes in Japan's five major trading companies, AI data centers bring energy opportunities

Core DAO is coordinating an emergency hard fork due to some validators receiving CORE rewards that exceeded the protocol's expected issuance. Core stated in an update that the situation has been brought under control, and "malicious validators" can no longer claim excess rewards. This fork is a forward upgrade and will not roll back the network or revoke any confirmed transactions.Previously, Core indicated in a status update on Monday that the rewards accumulated by a small number of validators were significantly higher than the protocol's expected issuance. The incident was limited to the reward distribution phase, user assets remain secure, and they promised to release a technical review report. Following the incident, several exchanges restricted CORE transfers: Coinbase suspended deposits and withdrawals on the Core network, Bithumb and Coinone suspended deposits and withdrawals, Bitget suspended deposits and withdrawals citing wallet maintenance, and LBank suspended deposits at the request of the project party.Core has not disclosed the amount of excess issued CORE, the duration of the activity, or whether additional tokens have entered circulation, nor have they provided details on the vulnerability that allowed validators to receive rewards.
