first_img Vantage and Rio Bank completed the first tokenized deposit loan participation payment

Vantage Bank and Rio Bank completed principal and interest payments for loan participants using the loan service platform Participate, utilizing tokenized deposits from Hazel Network. Participate stated that after Vantage submitted the payment, the platform completed the distribution of principal and interest, with tokenized deposits reaching the recipient's digital wallet in less than 3 minutes. The loan balance and payment notifications were automatically updated in sync, connecting the traditional processes that relied on wire transfers, spreadsheets, and email notifications. This payment was announced on October 19.This payment marks the first implementation of the collaboration between the two banks that began in April this year. Custodia CEO Caitlin Long confirmed that the transaction occurred on the Ethereum mainnet. Hazel was jointly developed by Vantage and Custodia: Participate (a subsidiary of BankLabs) provides loan workflows and payment instructions, Vantage offers banking services and reserves, and Custodia is responsible for wallets, blockchain operations, compliance, and reconciliation monitoring.According to the Hazel white paper, this settlement model includes both on-chain and traditional bank ledger records, with transactions permitted only for authorized participants, while customer identities and account information are kept off-chain. Participate plans to offer tokenized deposits and Fedwire payment automation services to 750 banks for loan participation and syndicate payments.

first_img White Whale Labs: The advantages of Solana meme coins are concentrated in cluster wallets

White Whale Labs released a study titled "The Audit Of The Memecoin Casino," stating that since late August, it has recorded all Pump.fun and Stonk new coin transactions on Solana, covering over 1 million liquidity pools and 7.7 million wallets with 384 million exchanges, with data exceeding 56 GB and 820 million rows. This dataset adds 18 to 25 million transactions daily, with up to about 1 million wallets and over 60,000 newly issued projects. The study claims that among the coins that have had real transactions, about one-tenth will double within the following 24 hours. Among 22.8 million first purchases within two weeks, 17% doubled before a 40% drop; using a doubling take-profit and a 40% drop stop-loss while accounting for costs, the average loss per transaction is about 19%. Clusters consisting of 450 to 2000 wallets often concentrate their purchases within one to two minutes after going live, with the doubling ratio for related coins being 28% to 46%, and their entry doubling before a 40% drop is 50% to 60%, higher than the 17% of other wallets. The daily count of groups tracked is between 9 and 33.Copy trading tests show that entering two minutes behind large clusters results in a single coin loss of 41% for 93 coins, with a median drop of 95%; tracking groups with positive records still shows a single coin loss of 11%, and backtesting a single wallet shows a single transaction loss of 20%. A few tight-knit groups made about 10% profit on 16 coins. Neural networks increased the doubling ratio from about 10% to 26%, but out of 771 selections over 8 days, daily results were negative, with an average loss of about 11%, a median drop of 45%, and 55% triggering stop-loss within 24 hours. White Whale Labs stated that after spending thousands of dollars on API, VPS, and model costs, no monetizable advantage was found, and they believe that meme coin trading is almost entirely driven by cluster wallets.

first_img Hyperliquid Co-Founder: Self-Custody and Transparency are the True Advantages of On-Chain Finance

According to The Block, Jeff Yan, co-founder of the decentralized perpetual contract trading platform Hyperliquid, stated during a fireside chat at the Korea Blockchain Week 2026 that around-the-clock trading is not the essential difference between on-chain trading venues and traditional exchanges. He pointed out that cryptocurrencies do not need to adhere to traditional market opening hours because these assets inherently possess international attributes, and some traditional exchanges have already begun to actively extend their trading hours.Yan emphasized that the more enduring value of on-chain finance comes from allowing users to retain control and custody of their funds, which helps to avoid a common single point of failure risk. In his view, once a counterparty, intermediary, or even custodian encounters issues, the ability to self-custody becomes particularly crucial. In addition, transparency constitutes another distinct feature of on-chain trading. Although it does not have a strong appeal in serving ordinary consumers, it is essential for building trust in the entire system. In a system controlled solely by a private organization, users cannot obtain the same level of trust and neutrality guarantees. He also mentioned that for assets lacking publicly available prices during the closing hours of traditional exchanges, continuous trading remains necessary. He cited commodities, stocks, and Pre-IPO targets that had already traded on Hyperliquid before the reference market opened as examples to illustrate that the demand is indeed real.

Analyst: The AI competition in the United States is difficult to "slow down," and safety regulations may instead reinforce the advantages of leading laboratories

Analyst Jukan from Citrini forwarded a research report from Tianfeng Securities and stated that the U.S. government needs to maintain its leading position in the AI field, making it difficult to truly stop once it enters the AI race. Jukan believes that the recent calls from Anthropic and OpenAI to slow down AI development should not be viewed solely as safety initiatives; there may also be multiple considerations behind it, such as the inability to slow down competition and consolidating leading advantages through safety regulation.Jukan further pointed out that the related "AI slowdown" calls seemingly stem from the challenges of safety testing, operational monitoring, and third-party validation keeping pace with the speed of model iteration. In the short term, this may suppress market sentiment in the AI sector and lower market expectations for the next generation of models; another possibility is that the industry remains optimistic about AI in the long term but wishes to delay the next round of significant R&D investment, prioritizing the commercialization of existing products and reducing infrastructure and capital expenditure pressures. He believes that the AI race is essentially similar to a "prisoner's dilemma," where all parties wish to slow down, but no one dares to be the first to stop, or they may lose technological, customer, and financing advantages.Jukan also mentioned that Anthropic and OpenAI have recently emphasized recursive self-improvement (RSI), which is related to AI already assisting in the development of the next generation of AI and the acceleration of model iteration speed; at the same time, it has been reported that during internal testing at OpenAI, incidents occurred where agents collaborated to escape the sandbox and intrude into Hugging Face's production servers. Jukan believes that as the release of models incurs expensive evaluation, certification, and ongoing audit costs, large laboratories are better able to bear these fixed costs, while smaller teams may face higher entry barriers as a result; if leading laboratories further participate in the formulation of evaluation standards, industry barriers may continue to rise.

Apple faces a $2.7 billion class action lawsuit: accused of unfair application tracking rules against third-party developers, gaining improper advantages in its own advertising ecosystem

According to a report by Reuters, Apple Inc. is facing a class-action lawsuit in London, with claims amounting to £2 billion (approximately $2.7 billion). The lawsuit was filed today in the London Competition Appeal Tribunal by Ann Pope, a former senior official of the UK's Competition and Markets Authority, representing app developers. The core allegation is that Apple's "App Tracking Transparency" (ATT) feature, launched in 2021, imposes stricter restrictions on third-party developers than on its own services, giving Apple's own advertising ecosystem an unfair competitive advantage. Ann Pope stated that Apple's policies "have caused very significant harm to businesses that rely on Apple as a gatekeeper."Since its launch, the ATT feature has been a focal point of concern for global regulators for several years. Apple's official stance is that the feature is designed to allow users to control whether to permit apps to track their activities across other companies and websites. However, the plaintiffs argue that the actual enforcement of this rule has a double standard—tracking requests from third-party apps require strict pop-up authorization, while Apple's own personalized ads and services can bypass the same restrictions. This lawsuit represents the latest legal challenge Apple faces regarding its ATT policy and is the first large-scale private antitrust lawsuit initiated in the UK market against Apple's app ecosystem rules following scrutiny from regulators in the EU, the US, and several other countries.

DWF Ventures: The rapid rise of social trading, platform competition is shifting from trade execution to social networks and information advantages

DWF Ventures released a report stating that as trading fees continue to approach zero, social trading is becoming a new direction for financial trading platforms to compete for users and build moats. The rise of social trading stems from users seeking validation from others and references for investment decisions. From early brokerage copy trading to investment communities like Reddit and Stocktwits, and now to platforms that combine real position verification, trading signals, and social relationships, social trading is evolving from a simple copy trading tool into a product form that integrates trading, content, and social interaction. As trade execution becomes increasingly homogenized, the future competitive advantage of platforms may come more from network effects, resources of well-known traders, and exclusive information and distribution capabilities.Analysis suggests that social trading platforms are forming a clear growth flywheel: platforms attract well-known traders and their fans, traders build reputations through public trading, fans amplify market influence by following trades, which in turn increases the visibility of traders and the user base of the platform. Public calls for trades may even generate a certain "self-fulfilling" effect in this process.Platforms also lower the entry barriers for users through one-click trading, low-threshold acceptance, trading competitions, and fee incentives, and leverage the social influence of top traders to facilitate user migration. In the future, the social trading ecosystem in the cryptocurrency and traditional stock sectors may further integrate, and platforms that master trader, user attention, and information flow are expected to form stronger network effects. However, social trading also faces significant structural risks. Data shows that among approximately 292,000 wallets analyzed by the Fomo platform over the past three months, only 6.16% achieved profitability based on realized gains. Followers lack independent investment logic and are easily influenced by herd behavior, while there may also be conflicts of interest between traders and followers.Furthermore, even if platforms can verify public positions, traders may still establish undisclosed positions through other wallets, making information asymmetry difficult to eliminate completely. Analysis suggests that as the boundaries between trading and entertainment continue to blur, platforms that can establish unique information layers, gather quality traders, and form network effects may gain an advantage in the competitive social trading market.
