Huobi HTX Chief Analyst Andy: U.S. inflation heats up again, market re-trades "higher for longer"

Surrounding the unexpected rebound of the U.S. September CPI, Huobi HTX Chief Analyst Andy pointed out that inflation is spreading from energy to core prices. The U.S. September CPI rose year-on-year to 3.7%, and the core CPI rose year-on-year to 2.6%. Gasoline prices increased by 9.1% in a single month, contributing to more than half of the overall increase, but prices for housing, healthcare, and airline services also rose, indicating that this rebound cannot be fully explained by energy shocks. The data reinforces the Federal Reserve's "higher for longer" policy logic. The economy has not yet shown significant signs of recession, and the Federal Reserve lacks urgent reasons to shift to easing, needing to prevent inflation expectations from becoming unanchored. After the CPI announcement, U.S. Treasury yields and the dollar quickly rose, with the market raising expectations for subsequent interest rate hikes, leading to increased uncertainty in the interest rate path. For the cryptocurrency market, this change is slightly bearish in the short term. The market first trades on real interest rates, the dollar, and global liquidity; high inflation does not automatically favor Bitcoin. After the CPI announcement, Bitcoin weakened and fell below $82,000. In the medium term, it is necessary to distinguish between "energy-driven inflation" and "demand-driven inflation": if energy prices decline and core inflation no longer accelerates, the September data is more likely to be a temporary supply shock; if core service inflation continues to rise, then the high interest rate level may be maintained longer than expected. The direction of Bitcoin depends on whether inflation, employment, and long-term U.S. Treasury yields can jointly confirm a new policy path.

first_img Tencent secretly developed the Personal Agent product Handy Bot

According to "Dujia," Tencent is secretly developing a Personal Agent product called "Handy Bot" and plans to launch an independent app. Currently, the product has quietly launched a service account on WeChat, with the description "Your Personal AI Agent." Since the product is still in the internal testing phase, specific information is subject to official announcements. The report states that the industry is currently hotly discussing the narrative of Personal Agents, with Meta's recently launched Muse pushing the popularity of consumer-grade intelligent agents to new heights. Unlike traditional chatbots that are conversation-driven, Personal Agents are centered around human core state boundaries, where AI has a long-term operational environment and can receive macro goals to continuously advance tasks in the background. Meta Muse assigns each user an independent Secure VM (Virtual Machine) for security, isolating browser and web operations for tasks such as price comparison shopping, email processing, and itinerary monitoring.Domestic manufacturers are also entering the pre-research phase. The Alibaba Qianwen team proposed creating a Personal Agent for users at the Yunqi Conference, and ByteDance's Doubao has also been reported to be developing a personal assistant product, previously codenamed "Spell." The industry believes that implementation needs to balance model task planning capabilities, ecosystem tool openness, and compliance with privacy boundaries.

The Rollup founder Andy: The U.S. SEC may introduce a tokenized securities innovation exemption

The Rollup founder Andy posted that market rumors suggest the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is preparing to launch the largest tokenization innovation exemption policy to date, which may allow tokenized securities to be traded solely through registered transfer agents, without the need for broker-dealer licenses, and without adhering to traditional trading platform or ATS-related rules. It is also reported that this could cover U.S. retail investors and overseas investors.Andy stated that if the above news is true, its potential impact would be significant. Tokenized funds could be issued and traded directly in the form of on-chain tokens, with transfer agents maintaining legal ownership records on-chain, while the underlying assets held by the fund, such as stocks and bonds, could also be further tokenized, thus forming an on-chain trading system of "fund tokens + underlying asset tokens."Andy later mentioned that a large fund has already received the SEC's "green light," but this has not yet been officially confirmed. He speculated that ARK, Fidelity, or BlackRock could be potential participants. If the policy is ultimately implemented, U.S. asset management firms may accelerate the issuance of native equity tokens to compete for around-the-clock liquidity and on-chain distribution channels, rather than waiting for third parties to mirror tokenize traditional securities. He further linked this potential policy change to the recent push by the Trump administration for regulatory openness in the crypto market, as well as the CFTC's efforts to bring perpetual contracts to the U.S. market, believing that the U.S. regulatory environment may be gradually opening the policy floodgates for on-chain finance.
