first_img Binance launched wealth management services, listing 11 U.S.-listed ETFs

Cryptocurrency exchange Binance has launched a wealth management service, providing users access to 11 U.S.-listed exchange-traded funds (ETFs) that focus on short-term U.S. Treasury bonds and investment-grade bonds. The new Binance Earn product categorizes the ETFs into three types based on investment duration (ranging from less than six months to over a year): cash management, stable income, and enhanced yield.Users can browse available ETFs and place orders through Binance Earn, with the purchasing process completed via the exchange's stock trading service. Binance states that investors can receive economic benefits from the stocks, including price fluctuations and cash dividends. Unlike tokenized stocks, users purchase actual ETF shares through this service. Binance provides the interface, while Nest Trading routes orders to Alpaca Securities for trade execution and securities custody. This wealth management service is Binance's latest initiative to expand its traditional financial business. Earlier this month, the exchange added physical delivery options for over 1,000 U.S. stocks and ETFs, with its existing stock products already covering more than 7,000 stocks and ETFs. A survey by PwC last year showed that over 80% of respondents believe tokenization will enhance the global coverage and 24/7 accessibility of the ETF market within the next three years.

Michael Saylor: BTC attempts to monetize digital scarcity, reshaping wealth storage and value transfer

Founder of Strategy, Michael Saylor, stated that Bitcoin integrates computers, digital networks, and cryptography to create the first currency network in human history designed in a digital manner. It completely dematerializes monetary assets, with supply controlled by public protocols rather than decisions, transforming economic value into information that can be securely transmitted across global communication networks.Compared to gold, Bitcoin is harder to inflate, easier to integrate with software, faster in transmission, and every participant has the incentive to maintain network security. The proof-of-work mechanism anchors it in the physical world, making the cost of tampering with history high by consuming real energy for ledger security, attracting miners, energy providers, and investors to collaboratively build a defense system. Bitcoin is digital gold, but understanding it as digital currency is more fitting. The Bitcoin network is not static software; it is an adaptive system composed of miners, nodes, developers, capital, and users. Bitcoin deliberately maintains functional simplicity, focusing solely on maintaining a secure and reliable ledger of scarce digital assets, leaving complexity to higher-level applications. This layered design of underlying integrity and upper-level functionality allows it to serve as a foundation for transmitting monetary energy across time and space while supporting continuous innovation in payments, credit, and financial services. The more profound impact is that Bitcoin creates a new form of digital sovereignty: private keys empower individuals to control economic energy without permission, with ownership verified by mathematics rather than institutions. Companies, banks, trusts, and applications can build a complete economic system around it, and social networks can introduce real costs and responsibilities into the digital space.Gold monetized physical scarcity, while Bitcoin monetizes digital scarcity. It is not merely a payment tool but an engineering solution to humanity's problems of energy preservation and guidance—currency is energy, and Bitcoin is the currency energy of the digital age.

Norway's sovereign wealth fund indirectly holds 11,549 BTC, setting a new historical high

According to The Block, K33 research director Vetle Lunde stated that by the end of the first half of 2026, the Norwegian sovereign wealth fund's indirect Bitcoin exposure through holdings in companies such as Strategy, Metaplanet, MARA, Coinbase, Block, and Tesla has risen to 11,549 BTC, a record high valued at approximately $725 million. This exposure grew by 21.2% in the first half of the year and by 60.5% over the past year, marking the sixth consecutive reporting period of increase.Among these, Strategy accounts for nearly 86% of the fund's indirect Bitcoin exposure, corresponding to approximately 9,914 BTC. As of June 30, the Norwegian sovereign wealth fund held about 1.17% of Strategy's shares, valued at $357.3 million at that time. Metaplanet corresponds to 671 BTC, MARA corresponds to 421 BTC, and Coinbase, Block, and Tesla correspond to 183 BTC, 120 BTC, and 97 BTC, respectively.K33 pointed out that this exposure is likely not the result of the fund actively allocating to Bitcoin, but rather an indirect effect of its broadly diversified investment portfolio. Currently, the related Bitcoin exposure accounts for about 0.03% of the fund's total assets. In addition, the fund has also gained indirect ETH exposure through the Ethereum treasury company BitMine for the first time. As of June 30, it held 6.15 million shares of BitMine, valued at $88.3 million, accounting for about 1.16% of the company's shares; based on BitMine's current ETH holdings, this corresponds to an indirect exposure of approximately 67,340 ETH.
