A report jointly released by the Bitcoin collateral lending platform CoinRabbit and the computing power platform GoMining points out that managing Bitcoin is more important than mining it. As the block reward drops to 3.125 BTC and the overall network difficulty approaches historical highs, low electricity prices and high uptime only constitute a survival baseline. What truly differentiates mining companies is the method of handling Bitcoin after it is mined.The report suggests that mining companies are shifting from direct sales to collateralized lending to cover recurring expenses such as electricity, custody, and labor. This approach retains exposure to holding Bitcoin while generating cash flow, avoids taxable sales, and preserves the deduction space for operating expenses. The trade-off is that mining companies simultaneously bear the dual risks of price and liquidation when Bitcoin prices decline.Jeremy Dreier, Chief Business Development Officer of GoMining, stated that the miners who can succeed after the halving are those who operate efficiently and have set aside cash in advance for this purpose. The current decline in Bitcoin prices has actually lowered the cost of increasing computing power, creating a window of opportunity for investing in expanding mining machines.

Ostium released an update on the attack incident. Its liquidity provider fund was attacked on July 15, resulting in a loss of 23,752,746 USDC. Preliminary investigations indicate that the attacker compromised the off-chain infrastructure that provides price data to the protocol and submitted disguised illegal price reports, extracting artificially generated profits from the fund by quickly opening and closing multiple large positions.Ostium stated that traders' collateral is stored in independently isolated smart contracts and was not affected by this incident, with all trading positions remaining open. The team paused trading and froze all trading contracts within 60 minutes after the first attack transaction occurred. Currently, Ostium is collaborating with Mandiant, zeroShadow, Collisionless, SEAL 911, and law enforcement agencies, coordinating with trading platforms, bridging contracts, and stablecoin issuers to advance the investigation. The engineering team is focused on repairing and strengthening the relevant infrastructure to support the secure resumption of trading.Ostium indicated that it will notify at least 24 hours in advance before unfreezing the trading contracts. After trading resumes, existing positions will be marked at the price at the time of reopening, unaffected by price fluctuations during the pause. Addressing the affected liquidity providers and securely resuming trading remains the current top priority.

Bitget has added 39 stock tokens (rToken) for collateral in its staking and borrowing services

According to the official announcement, Bitget's staking and borrowing section has added support for 39 stock tokens (rToken) as collateral assets. The newly listed targets include popular US stocks and ETFs such as rAMD, rSMH, rARM, and rSKHY, covering diverse categories like semiconductors, finance, healthcare, and energy.Users holding the relevant stock tokens can now use them as collateral to borrow mainstream assets like USDT and USDC, releasing liquidity without selling their positions. The related features are now available on the web, and the app version is expected to be launched within this week. Specific collateral parameters and more details can be found on the Bitget official platform.It is reported that the rToken, identified by the letter r + stock code (for example, Nvidia is rNVDA), is issued by Reality, a licensed RWA protocol under Bitget, and is directly connected to global liquidity pools like NASDAQ and NYSE through cooperation with compliant broker Alpaca. Its features include: 1:1 reserves of underlying assets managed by licensed custodians, stock dividends distributed in token form at a 1:1 ratio, support for corporate actions (such as stock splits), and the ability to use holdings as joint collateral for unified accounts and U-based contracts, allowing users to flexibly manage funds while holding global stock assets.

Ripple plans to introduce an institutional-level lending protocol on XRPL, allowing tokenized assets to be used as collateral for financing
