first_img FutureBit Apollo Solo miner mined Bitcoin block 973,262, earning 3.154 BTC

On October 26, a mining machine running on the FutureBit Apollo Solo solution mined Bitcoin block 973,262, receiving a complete block reward of 3.154 BTC and collecting transaction fees from 2,477 transactions within that block. Multiple block explorers, including mempool.space, marked the discoverer of this block as "FutureBit Apollo Solo," with its coinbase transaction containing text mentioning FutureBit and Apollo.FutureBit stated on X that the Apollo device or Solo Node assembles block templates, allocates work, and submits complete blocks using its built-in solo pool. This is at least the fourth block attributed to FutureBit Apollo Solo, with the previous three being 867,760, 881,423, and 888,737. FutureBit designs Apollo hardware for users who wish to run a full Bitcoin node and mine independently at home, with the latest model, Apollo III, achieving a maximum hash rate of 18 TH/s in turbo mode and integrating a full node.Solo mining is often referred to as "lottery-style mining" due to the extremely low probability of winning relative to block rewards. Against the backdrop of the Bitcoin network's hash rate recently being around 1,070--1,087 EH/s, the expected time for home devices with 10--18 TH/s to mine a block is still measured in centuries at current difficulty levels, but verified successful cases of solo mining continue to appear on-chain. Additionally, the next day, another miner successfully mined a solo block through CKPool Solo.

Axis Robotics: The team and investors have not sold AXIS, recent sell-offs are suspected to involve OTC trading counterparties

Axis Robotics issued a statement regarding the massive sell-off of AXIS tokens from October 28 to 29, stating that no team or investor tokens were sold. The team, investors, and other locked allocations total 835 million AXIS, accounting for 83.5% of the total supply, and remain in a custody contract co-managed with Binance, with no tokens transferred out, and they will not be unlocked before the end of the 12-month lock-up period. The project party stated that the tokens sold this time came from a portion of the ecological allocation in the initial circulating supply, which was originally delivered through a single over-the-counter (OTC) trading counterparty, and the relevant written agreement includes lock-up terms. The project party believes that the trading model indicates that this counterparty may sell the tokens on the open market, which, if true, would violate the agreement. They have currently suspended further transactions with this counterparty and are reviewing the agreement with legal counsel to seek remedies; the remaining ecological tokens will only be distributed through on-chain custody mechanisms in the future.ChainCatcher previously reported that, according to on-chain detective ZachXBT, insiders from Axis Robotics (AXIS) obtained over 76 million AXIS tokens (worth over 12 million USD) from a multi-signature wallet, which were then sold off through a DEX, with some tokens transferred to Bitget exchange. As a result, the AXIS price plummeted by 40% in the past 24 hours. One insider sold 42 million AXIS tokens and currently holds over 5.04 million USDC across their 8 wallet addresses.

first_img The Bank of England has launched a consultation on the use of tokenized collateral for central clearing

The Bank of England has launched a consultation on how central counterparties (CCPs) can accept digital forms of eligible collateral, stating that current rules allow for such arrangements provided that the relevant assets meet clearing standards. The draft regulatory statement released by the bank will clarify the matters that CCPs must specify when submitting applications under the existing approval process, covering collateral that has been accepted as well as types that meet the criteria under the proposed UK CCP rulebook but have not yet been used in practice. The Bank of England emphasized that this statement will not create new regulatory obligations. The Bank of England pointed out that tokenized collateral must always be capable of being valued, transferred, and liquidated, including under stress scenarios; the improvement in cross-border transfer speed helps institutions meet margin calls in a timely manner. Sarah Breeden, the Deputy Governor responsible for financial stability, stated that this consultation reflects the bank's goal of promoting innovation in financial market infrastructure while maintaining financial stability, and is part of a broader agenda by regulators and the industry to promote the responsible application of tokenization in financial markets. The consultation document will close for feedback on February 12, 2027, and the Bank of England plans to subsequently publish a policy response and related rules.

first_img Polygon integrates Solana into the payment stack, connecting bank accounts with stablecoin payments

Polygon Labs announced that it has integrated Solana into its Open Money Stack payment platform, allowing the network's enterprise clients to connect their dollar bank accounts directly to the global payment network through a single API framework. The platform supports enterprises in depositing funds from bank accounts, transferring funds across chains, and making payments to recipients, while also providing functionalities such as customer accounts and wallets, currency exchange, and routing payments to supported bank accounts, debit cards, cash services, and cryptocurrency wallets.Kira is one of the first clients to use the Solana integration, helping clients convert between dollars and stablecoins, send payments through banking channels, and pay overseas suppliers. Kira's CEO Edrizio De La Cruz stated that the company has been using Solana to transfer stablecoins, and collaborating with Polygon allows these transfers to be converted into dollars in their bank accounts when clients need to pay suppliers. Open Money Stack simultaneously connects Polygon, Ethereum, and TRON, which was integrated earlier this month. This integration occurred after Solana activated the Alpenglow consensus upgrade a week ago, which reduced the final confirmation time for transactions from approximately 12.8 seconds to 150 milliseconds. According to data from The Block, the total supply of dollar stablecoins has approached $290 billion, with USDT exceeding $182 billion and USDC nearing $76 billion. Vibhu Norby, Chief Product Officer of the Solana Foundation, stated that the volume of stablecoin transactions processed by Solana in 2026 has exceeded $5.5 trillion. Earlier this month, Polygon also completed the acquisition of Coinme, obtaining money transmission licenses and exemptions covering 48 states in the United States.

first_img Yield Basis launched the permissionless propAMM, prioritizing the deployment of the WETH pool

The automated market-making protocol Yield Basis, founded by Curve founder Michael Egorov, announced the launch of a permissionless propAMM, aiming to upgrade its liquidity mechanism on Curve. This design combines market perception pricing with dynamic fees, aiming to increase trading volume, reduce arbitrage losses, and improve liquidity provider returns. According to its simulations over the past 18 months, Yield Basis's WETH position is projected to grow at an annualized rate of 8.5% in ETH terms under the new design, compared to 3.6% under existing parameters.Officials stated that WETH liquidity providers do not need to take additional actions, as the new design will directly affect their respective liquidity pools. The small transaction fee for pulling the pool price back to the market price is 0.50%, and anyone can submit prices or deposit funds, with the relevant code being open source. The WETH pool will be deployed first, and Bitcoin-related liquidity pools will follow after the successful deployment of the WETH pool.According to the announcement, the liquidity pool will charge based on the profits earned by arbitrageurs from trades, retaining about two-thirds of the profits above the minimum fee. The new design features lower single transaction fees, with simulated trading volumes approaching three times the current levels, requiring donations of about one-quarter of the current amount. The Yield Basis DAO owns the strategy, and the Curve Emergency DAO can shut it down in emergencies, while the Curve liquidity pool contract itself remains unchanged. Curve DAO vote 1508 will connect the strategy to the WETH pool and set the reserved profit ratio, while Yield Basis vote 60 will set the LevAMM fee at 1.5% (currently 1.3%), with the donation rate being about 1.2% of the pool value per year (currently about 5%). The above simulations only include arbitrage exchanges and do not account for regular trading and liquidation.
